The journey back to wholeness, back to self, is just that…a journey – a work in progress

We can hear something and think it’s interesting and maybe even enlightening, but it can take many months and often years for it to really land and really be fully embodied.

Can you relate to that?

It could even be a book that was recommended to you and you read it, thought it was quite powerful at the time, maybe even quoted to others a few key insights, but you quickly went on to forget about it for years.

Then one day, someone else mentions the book or teaching, you revisit it and realise just how relevant it is for you and where you are currently at and only then do you really apply it to your life.

I know on my journey, growth and evolution, of which has been a very conscious path for the past say 23 years, new levels of understanding and more depths of embodiment are constantly taking place for me and I have learnt, studied and read a lot!

I do believe part of this is due to the collective consciousness and awakening….

BUT also it’s taken a long time, due to my shadow aspects that I disowned, my stories and beliefs that were so strongly myelinated in the brain that it was on autopilot and and my core wounding, which was the lens of how I viewed the world.

This year, the way I live my life and the way I practice, has changed quite significantly.

I have had extensive support along the way. I have for years.

The best cardiologist can not do their own heart surgery. We all have blindspots and times where we need to be witnessed, guided and to have the space held.

PLUS I do a lot of inner work.

Your inner world is always reflected back to you in every area of your life.

You change your stories, your beliefs and the meaning you give to things, your world can change very quickly.

More recently, body wisdom and embodiment has been a key focus for me, especially after a lifetime of disconnection from my body and very much in my head.

Related to this, is the emotional intelligence piece and conscious emotional mastery is huge and something we were never really taught.

I truly believe, disconnection from self PLUS repressed and suppressed emotions have led to widespread addictions (to food, alcohol, drugs, TV, shopping, gambling, exercise etc), disease and wars, to name a few.

I’m sharing this for a few reasons:

  1. A reminder that we are all on a journey – all a work in progress and all figuring it out. Hence do not compare your journey, your progress or seemingly lack of, to others, your journey is your journey alone.
  2. You only know what you know – It’s so easy to get frustrated that we are still stuck, not further ahead, have spent so much time and money, still repeating the same patterns, haven’t yet achieved our desires etc etc. but we all have blindspots. Trust and even be intentional that the right support and teacher will present at just the right time to illuminate the way.
  3. The more you embrace all parts of you, as in full acceptance of self, rather than suppressing the parts of you that you don’t like or not proud of, the more present you are to open to fully living life.
  4. Cultivate more of a conscious relationship with your body and your emotions – you will feel happier and healthier and manifest much more quickly in every area of your life.

As always, if you need support, reach out…… my new 5 week high touch/support “Success Incubator” might just be a fit for where you are at and for helping you uplevel with clarity, clearing resistance, embodiment, emotional self mastery and desire/goal attainment.
